There is a lot of talk these days about online dating and how it impacts socioeconomic activity. From eHarmony television commercials to sugar daddy dating sites on Dr. Phil, there seems to be more and more information about this in the news.

From my point of view, dating online is no different than most things – it’s just entertainment. Sure, there are those that are out there looking for their lifelong love, but for most, it is just a way to entertain yourself and socialize at the same time. In fact, I think for most, it’s almost a game. Think about it, you join a dating site, pay to be a full member and then contact other members, seeing just who you can get to talk to you. Who knows, you might find a friend or a lover. But let’s not make it a bigger deal than it is. It’s all about having a good time.

If you are lucky enough to find a friend or even to get laid, you are doing better than many, but just remember, it’s just fun!
